Charli XCX and Chappell Roan share 'Boom Clap' in Los Angeles

Charli XCX and Chappell Roan sang ‘Boom Clap’ together in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The duet happened during Charli XCX’s Music, Fashion, Film Tour stop at the Kia Forum. The pair shared the chorus in front of a Saturday-night arena crowd Rolling Stone.
‘Boom Clap’ is Charli XCX’s breakthrough solo single from 2014. The Los Angeles performance was its first live outing in the Brat / Music, Fashion, Film era, a stretch that has otherwise centred on newer material.
Saturday brought more guests. PinkPantheress stepped out to perform her own song ‘Stateside’. The Dare then joined Charli XCX for the Billie Eilish remix of ‘Guess’.
The Los Angeles run was organised as two Kia Forum shows. The second was scheduled for Sunday night, 18 October. The venue’s listing for 17 October named Underscores on the bill, with doors at 6:30PM and showtime at 7:50PM Kia Forum.
The duet followed another live debut further south. Charli XCX brought out Tinashe at Austin City Limits Festival to perform ‘Melatonin’ and ‘Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore’ live for the first time.
For fans following the tour, the message is simple. Older songs can return without warning, and the guest list changes from city to city.
