The Carolina Panthers walked into Philadelphia and walked out with a 25-14 win over the Eagles on 18 October. Carolina moved to 3-2. Philadelphia fell to 2-4.

Bryce Young threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns, both to tight end Tommy Tremble. Chuba Hubbard did the heavy lifting on the ground with 120 rushing yards and a touchdown. It was a clean, balanced performance from an offense that stayed on schedule all afternoon. The Guardian

The Eagles were short-handed in a big way. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is on injured reserve with a blood clot in his calf and will miss at least four games, and running back Saquon Barkley was also out. Backup Tanner McKee started and finished 26 of 45 for 215 yards and a touchdown, but Philadelphia never found a steady rhythm.

In Atlanta, the Chicago Bears beat the Falcons 31-23 to move to 4-2 while Atlanta dropped to 2-4. Caleb Williams returned from a hamstring injury and completed his first 12 passes. D'Andre Swift ran for two touchdowns as Chicago built a 31-7 lead, then held on through a fourth-quarter push.

The closer belonged to Kyler Gordon. The Bears cornerback returned from a calf injury with three sacks and two forced fumbles. The last one sealed it. With 2:54 left and Chicago protecting a 31-23 lead, Gordon sacked Michael Penix Jr. and knocked the ball loose.

Cleveland edged Baltimore 13-10 in a divisional grind. Deshaun Watson hit Jerry Jeudy for 33 yards late to set up Andre Szmyt's 37-yard field goal on the final snap. First-year Cleveland coach Todd Monken spent the previous three seasons as Baltimore's offensive coordinator, so he knew the other sideline well. The Guardian

Baltimore started Tyler Huntley at quarterback for the second straight week with Lamar Jackson sidelined by an ankle injury. The Ravens defense kept it close, but the Browns made the one final drive they needed.

New England made it three straight wins, beating the New York Jets 26-19. Drake Maye completed 18 of 32 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns. Romeo Doubs, DeMario Douglas and Hunter Henry caught the scores. Geno Smith went 20 of 30 for 252 yards and a touchdown for New York, but threw his first interception of the season at a costly moment.

In London, Houston beat Jacksonville 34-31 at Wembley Stadium on Ka'imi Fairbairn's 49-yard field goal as time expired. C.J. Stroud threw three touchdown passes. Jacksonville's Cam Little had tied it at 31-31 with just under two minutes left on a booming 60-yard kick.

Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter, who plays both receiver and defensive back, delivered the rarest line of the day. He intercepted a Stroud pass in the end zone, the scoring area at the end of the field, and caught a seven-yard touchdown pass. He became the fifth player in the Super Bowl era, including playoffs, to score a touchdown and record an interception in the same game.

New Orleans rallied past the New York Giants 34-27 after scoring 34 consecutive points. Quarterback Tyler Shough threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score to fuel the comeback. The Guardian

What makes this stand out is how much the day turned on availability. Returns like Williams and Gordon swung games. Absences like Hurts, Barkley and Jackson defined them.
