Search continues for 11 missing after boat capsizes off Baja California

Eleven people were missing after a boat capsized off Mexico's Baja California coast, while 16 others were rescued from the water.
The search for those still missing was continuing as of Oct. 18, when the latest accounts put the number missing at 11 and the number rescued at 16, according to Al Jazeera.
The U.S. Coast Guard reported on Oct. 16 that it had responded to a vessel taking on water about 140 miles west of Ensenada, Mexico. That position placed the emergency well offshore from the Baja coast.
The Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy searched for the missing people, ABC News reported.
The 16 people rescued were Mexican nationals. Two survivors were in critical condition, according to the Associated Press.
Multiple survivors were treated for suspected shark bites, the Associated Press reported. The injuries pointed to the time survivors had spent in the water before they were brought to safety.
