Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to celebrate Halloween in the UK as a family of four for the first time next week.

Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, will spend 31 October in Britain with their parents, according to Hello!. The family returned to the UK last month and have now been back for over a month.

The last time Harry and Meghan were in Britain for Halloween, Archie was five months old. The contrast is sharp.

Recent Halloweens have been distinctly American affairs. Last autumn the family visited a pumpkin patch together, and Meghan shared a video of the outing with Archie and Lilibet, as reported by People.

Archie charged through a corn maze while Lilibet rode along in a wagon. Afterwards the four made jack-o'-lanterns, carved pumpkins lit from inside, at home.

They also took the costumes out on the street. Harry and Meghan went trick-or-treating with Archie and Lilibet, with Archie dressed as an ant and Lilibet as a green firefly, according to Page Six. At the time Archie was 6 and Lilibet was 4.

Halloween costumes have made occasional public appearances before. Meghan once shared Archie and Lilibet's outfits during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

What makes this stand out is the change of setting. Pumpkin picking, carving and door-to-door trick-or-treating travelled with the family to California. For fans, this means seeing which bits of that routine survive a British October.

No details of next week's plans have been made public. For now, it is simply a first: four costumes, one British Halloween.
