Armie Hammer has finished filming a new action-thriller called Tokyo Blitz, with sales company Film Mode Entertainment now taking it out to buyers, Deadline reported on 19 October 2026.

The shoot has finalised in Los Angeles. That is the full production base for a story set around a power struggle in Tokyo.

Hammer stars as Rick, an elite American hitman who never misses his mark. Joey Chase co-stars as a Yakuza enforcer trying to hold his fractured family together during a war for control of Tokyo's first legal casino.

The film was written and directed by Garrett Glassell. The wider cast includes Kooper Seewald, Yuwi, Nobuaki Shimamoto and John Kim, according to the same report.

Keli Price produced under his Price Productions banner alongside Tommy Anderson of Charthouse Films and Liam S. Terlecki. Clay Epstein, Christopher Manalo and Mike Levenson serve as executive producers.

Film Mode Entertainment has boarded worldwide sales, which means selling the right to release the film to distributors country by country. The company was set to give buyers a first look at footage at the American Film Market, the AFM, where producers and sales agents screen early material for international distributors.

There is also detail on how Hammer's casting came together. CAA helped broker his deal to join the film but was not acting as his representative, Deadline reported. Hammer has had no agency representation since being dropped by WME in 2021 and is represented by law firm Yorn Levine.

Tokyo Blitz is Hammer's first announced project since his Citizen Vigilante film backed by Elon Musk caused a stir in summer 2026.

What makes this stand out for viewers is the sales step. A first look at the AFM does not mean a release date. It means the film now enters the marketplace where its cinema and streaming future gets decided.
