Brooklyn Names Street for Baby's All Right Co-Founder Billy Jones

Billy Jones Way is now on the map in Brooklyn, in honour of the late co-founder and owner of Baby's All Right.
The street sign was unveiled at the corner of Bedford Avenue and Broadway, just down the street from the venue, Pitchfork reported. The dedication covers the section of Broadway between Bedford Avenue and Driggs Avenue, a detail confirmed before the event by the Brooklyn Paper.
The ceremony took place on 18 October. It had been listed for 5:30 p.m. that day, and the venue had billed the evening as the Billy Jones Way Block Party.
Word of the plan first circulated in late September. Hits Daily Double noted on 24 September that the city would dedicate the street on 18 October, with further details on time and place to follow.
Jones co-founded Baby's All Right in 2013 with Tom Moore, his longtime business partner. Moore remains an owner of the venue and spoke at the unveiling ceremony.
Jones died in 2025, aged 45, from glioblastoma. His death left the venue without one of the two partners who had started it.
Before Baby's All Right, Jones worked as a booker at venues including Sin-é. A booker selects the artists who play a room and agrees the dates and fees. That work put him close to developing acts and to the nightly detail of running a venue.
He later opened several New York City venues of his own. In addition to Baby's All Right, the list includes Night Club 101, Elvis Guesthouse, the Dance and Funny Bar.
The unveiling drew the venue's community back to the block. Following the street ceremony, Baby's All Right hosted a party inside the room. The programme featured surprise sets from Blood Orange, Porches and Fcukers.
The block party had been advertised in advance on the venue's social channels for Sunday, 18 October. The plan, as announced, was to move straight from the street corner to the venue doors.
What makes this stand out is proximity. The name is not across town from the work it honours. It sits on the same stretch of Broadway that leads to the club's door, where staff, artists and audiences pass every night.
