Ella Langley ties Mariah Carey for most weeks atop Streaming Songs

Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" has tied Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" for the most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Streaming Songs chart, with 26 weeks each. Billboard confirmed the tie on the chart dated Oct. 24.
The Streaming Songs chart ranks the most-streamed songs in the United States each tracking week. In the tracking week ending Oct. 15, "Choosin' Texas" recorded 19.8 million chart-eligible streams in the US, down 5% from the previous week. It was still enough to hold the top spot.
"Choosin' Texas" first reached No. 1 on the chart dated Jan. 31. Its longest continuous run at the top lasted eight weeks, from Aug. 15 to Oct. 3, after several separate spells at No. 1 through the year.
Only three songs have led the chart for 20 weeks or more since it began in 2013. Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road," featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, held No. 1 for 20 weeks. Carey's Christmas hit reached 26 weeks after adding four weeks at No. 1 during the 2025 holiday season.
The latest chart came with lower numbers at the top of the market. The Oct. 24 ranking is the first time since the Feb. 7 chart that America's most-streamed song finished a tracking week with fewer than 20 million streams. On the Feb. 7 chart, Harry Styles' "Aperture" debuted at No. 1 with 18.2 million streams.
On the Billboard Hot 100, which combines US streams, paid sales and radio airplay, "Choosin' Texas" sits at No. 2. Taylor Swift's "Patient Zero" holds No. 1.
Before slipping to No. 2, Langley's song had a long run at the top of the Hot 100. It broke the all-time record with a 23rd week at No. 1 in September, then stretched that run to a 24th week. It is Langley's first Hot 100 leader and was named Billboard's song of the summer for 2026.
That run was built across formats. The song spent 16 weeks at No. 1 on Digital Song Sales, which tracks paid downloads in the US. It also climbed to a new high of No. 2 on Radio Songs, which measures airplay, rising from No. 6.
What makes this stand out is the route to 26. Carey built her total across many Decembers, when holiday listening returns each year. Langley matched it between January and October in a single calendar year.
