Meghan Markle teases holiday magic in cosy Christmas video
Meghan Markle has offered an early taste of Christmas in a cosy new video posted to Instagram on Monday.
The clip teases a seasonal update for As Ever, her lifestyle brand selling jams, teas and homeware, with the caption: "A little more holiday magic is on its way." She added: "Coming soon. Stay close." HELLO!
It opens in the kitchen. Markle, dressed in black from top to toe, lifts a jam biscuit from a plate to have with a cup of tea. Simple. Homely. Very on-brand.
The scene then moves to a sitting room. She lights a candle on a side table and tucks small wrapped presents into white knitted stockings hung above a fireplace. For this part she has changed into a white knit jumper and matching trousers.
The tease points to As Ever's Holiday Collection. The range is built around gifting and includes gift baskets, a chocolate gift box, an advent calendar and a parlour card set for after-dinner games.
The Christmas framing also nods to family life with her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Markle has previously shared kitchen clips with the children, including baking and jam-making videos tied to the brand.
Where the family will spend Christmas Day itself is not confirmed. HELLO!'s royal editor Emily Nash said on A Right Royal Podcast she would be "very surprised if the Sussexes are around at Christmas" and thinks they will head to see Markle's mother, Doria Ragland.
