Mynt's $845 Million IPO Closed Up 1.7% — What Matters Next

Mynt, Inc. started trading on the Philippine Stock Exchange on October 20, 2026, and closed its first day up 1.7%. Reuters
The listing followed an $845 million initial public offering (IPO), the first sale of shares to public investors. Reuters Mynt planned to sell up to 8.03 billion shares. The final offer price was 6.60 pesos ($0.11) per share. Bloomberg At that share count and price, Mynt could raise as much as 60.9 billion Philippine pesos.
The Philippine Stock Exchange cleared Mynt's IPO application for listing. The PSE Edge company directory lists Mynt, Inc. with stock code GCASH. The exchange stated the offer is poised to set the record as the largest public offering in PSE history.
Mynt, Inc. is the parent company of GCash. Mynt describes GCash as the Philippines' #1 finance super app.
The group is organized through discrete operating companies. Mynt lists G-Xchange, Inc. as the company powering the GCash mobile wallet for digital payments and transfers. It lists Fuse Financing, Inc. as its operating company providing lending and access to credit. It lists Ryse, Inc. as its operating company broadening access to investments. It lists BlockG Virtual Assets Inc. as its operating company supporting participation in digital assets. It lists Electronic Commerce Payments, Inc. (ECPay) as its operating company powering everyday payments through a nationwide network bridging cash and digital transactions. It lists Sprynt Solutions Pte. Ltd. as its operating company partnering with companies on customer engagement using digital technology and data.
Mynt states its vision is 'Finance For All' focused on access to financial services for underserved and unbanked Filipinos. It describes itself as the first and only $5 billion unicorn in the Philippines. Mynt announced a plan on October 9, 2023 to acquire ECPay to serve MSMEs better and boost its bills payment business. The broader context here is deal size relative to domestic liquidity. A 60.9 billion peso primary raise requires broad distribution to absorb. Pricing at 6.60 pesos created an 8.03 billion-share float, the shares available for trading. That share count matters for index inclusion arithmetic, for turnover velocity, and for the stabilization bid. A 1.7% first-day close suggests the book was priced close to clearing. It does not confirm sustained aftermarket demand.
Looking at what this means for valuation, Mynt is listing as a holding company over regulated wallet, credit, securities, and digital-asset rails. Think of it as one parent with separate licensed shops underneath. Each vertical carries different capital requirements, loss provisioning, and fee recognition. Public investors will need segment disclosure to separate transaction take rates from net interest margin and from float income. That means splitting payment fees from lending profit and from interest earned on customer balances. Without that split, group-level multiples obscure unit economics.
In my view, the structure also concentrates execution risk on intra-group flows. Wallet activity originates the customer. Fuse monetizes credit. Ryse and BlockG monetize investment and crypto participation. ECPay extends distribution into cash-in and bills payment, including MSME endpoints. The question for secondary pricing is cross-entity customer conversion and credit cost through the cycle, not headline registered users. Fintech holding companies tend to trade on net take rate after incentives and expected loss, with a discount for regulatory leverage in any single subsidiary.
