Christina Applegate Says She Does Not Have Multiple Sclerosis

Christina Applegate has said she does not have multiple sclerosis, after telling the public in 2021 that she had been diagnosed with the condition.
The 54-year-old actor made the announcement in an episode of her MeSsy podcast recorded with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, which was posted to YouTube on Tuesday. The Guardian
Applegate said her doctor told her "Congratulations – you don't have MS". She said she is back at square one and does not know what is going on with her. She said she still has to use wheelchairs to go to the doctor's office and cannot walk from the car to the room.
Applegate has experienced debilitating symptoms since 2021. In a People magazine interview to promote her memoir, You With the Sad Eyes, published in March, she said she was largely confined to bed because of her diagnosed condition. Multiple sclerosis is a neurological and autoimmune disorder.
Applegate is known for roles in the TV series Married … with Children and Dead to Me. She appeared in the films Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, and worked on Friends, winning a 2002 Emmy for outstanding guest acting in a comedy series.
She retired from acting two years after her 2021 diagnosis when she wrapped her role on Dead to Me. She returned to her MeSsy podcast on Tuesday for what the episode description called a catch-up on her life over the past six months. Variety
