They Are Gutting a Body of Water cancel tour after Doug Dulgarian cancer diagnosis

Doug Dulgarian, founder of They Are Gutting a Body of Water, has been diagnosed with cancer.
He announced the diagnosis on Instagram. He said he received the diagnosis on 16 October, as reported by Pitchfork. He is the band's founder and frontman.
Following the diagnosis, the band has cancelled its forthcoming North American tour. The tour had been scheduled to begin on 29 October in Baltimore.
Three December dates remain on schedule. The band plans to play two shows in Brooklyn on 9 and 10 December, followed by a hometown show on 18 December. No further details about those performances have been confirmed.
The news arrived on the same day as new music. The band released the mixtape Kool Faith / Loosies II on 16 October, the same date Dulgarian said he received his diagnosis.
They Are Gutting a Body of Water formed in Philadelphia and have released music including the album LOTTO. The group works as a collective around Dulgarian's songwriting, moving between shoegaze, indie rock and lo-fi recording.
For fans holding tickets to the cancelled dates, the band has not yet outlined next steps in the material confirmed so far. The December shows are the only dates currently listed as going ahead.
