Megan Thee Stallion Drops 'Thin Ice' Tina Tuesday Freestyle Sampling Limp Bizkit

Megan Thee Stallion released “Thin Ice” on Tuesday, Oct. 20, as the latest instalment of her Tina Tuesday Freestyle series under her Tina Snow alter ego. The rapper posted the track to YouTube the same day. It reworks a late-1990s rock single.
The track samples “Break Stuff” by Limp Bizkit, taken from the band’s 1999 album Significant Other. Sampling, in plain terms, means reusing part of an older recording inside a new one. “Thin Ice” was produced by Buddah Bless, Billboard reported. The producer credit covers the beat the vocal was cut over.
The official YouTube upload, titled “Megan Thee Stallion - Thin Ice - Tina Tuesday Freestyle”, appeared on her official account on Oct. 20 at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ofUM-_3uQ4. Her channel bio bills her as Houston’s own real H-Town Hottie and Young Tina Snow. The account lists 7.48 million subscribers and 382 videos.
Tina Snow is an alter ego, a second persona she performs as alongside her main artist name. Tina Tuesday is the name she gives this run of freestyles, one-off rap releases that often land outside an album campaign. She has gathered this kind of material before. In 2021 she announced Something for Thee Hotties, a collection of freestyles and unreleased tracks, Rolling Stone reported at the time.
The new freestyle arrived two days after a fashion-show appearance. On Oct. 18 she made her runway debut in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and performed “Body” during the event, Billboard reported. She walked first and performed second on the same night.
Her most recent album remains Megan, released in 2024. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 64,000 album-equivalent units, the measure that converts streams and sales into one album number, according to Luminate data cited by Billboard. That first-week total counts all consumption together. Album-equivalent units blend traditional sales with streaming equivalents.
Next on her calendar is Hottieween. She will host the fan party at Zouk nightclub in Las Vegas on Oct. 30, Billboard reported. The date falls ten days after the freestyle.
What makes this stand out is the cross-genre borrowing. A current rap freestyle built on a 1999 rock single reaches two audiences at once. For fans, this means a midweek drop to track down rather than a full album rollout.
