Queens of the Stone Age performed "Where The Goth Girls At?" on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Oct. 21, ahead of their ninth studio album, "Perfecth," which is out on Oct. 30 through Matador Records.

The band's appearance was a preview of the record. Billboard reported that the performance was lit in cold blue and that the band sounded tight. The song is one of nine on the album, which also includes "Easy Street." Full-length albums of new material are counted as a band's studio albums, so "Perfecth" is the group's ninth.

The record follows "In Times New Roman," which came out in 2023. The band is a five-piece. The lineup is Josh Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore.

NBC keeps a guest page for the band on the show's site, with clips from the performance. The network dates the "Where The Goth Girls At?" segment to Oct. 21, 2026. The same episode featured actor John Cusack and actress Cara Delevingne as guests, according to NBC.

For a TV performance, the timing is the point. A late-night slot puts a new single in front of a broad audience a little more than a week before the album arrives in shops and on streaming services. Fans who want the full record will be able to hear all nine songs from Oct. 30.

Matador is an independent label, which means it is not one of the three major companies, Universal, Sony and Warner, that dominate the industry. Independent labels release a large share of rock records, and their albums are sold, streamed and promoted through the same channels as the majors' releases.

Nothing in the announcements so far suggests a tour or other dates for the album, and none have been confirmed by the band or the label.
