Camille Provost Invites Paris Visitors to Rearrange Her Puzzle Sculptures

Visitors to Paris can now pick up the sculptures and move them around. French-Ivorian artist Camille Provost has opened Le Masque et Le Vertige (Swear That You'll Play), a show of puzzle-like works in wood and ceramic that visitors are invited to handle and rearrange. The Art Newspaper reported the opening on 22 October 2026.
The exhibition runs until 20 December at the exhibition space of Acne Paper, in the Palais Royal, a historic square in central Paris. Acne Paper opened the space in 2025 as a cultural project of Acne Studios, the Swedish fashion house. The show also opens during Art Basel Paris, the French edition of the Swiss-founded art fair, which brings galleries, dealers and collectors to the city each autumn.
Provost was born in Côte d'Ivoire, also known as Ivory Coast, in 2000. In 2019 she moved to France to study archaeology and art history at the Sorbonne, the university in Paris. In 2023 she moved to London after being accepted to the Royal College of Art, the specialist art and design school.
Her work has been shown before. Project Loop staged an exhibition of Provost's work from 23 January to 14 March 2026, bringing together seven sculptural pieces.
The Art Newspaper described the new show as playful and intellectually layered. The pieces ask visitors to take part, which means the arrangement of the room is not fixed in advance. For a show that runs for two months during a busy fair season, that gives Paris audiences a reason to come back and see what has changed.
