Queensland minister Amanda Camm has resigned from the state cabinet, a decision she said was "mine alone" (The Guardian). The resignation was announced on 23 October 2026.

Camm held the ministerial responsibilities for child safety and the prevention of family and domestic violence. In a statement published by the Queensland Government, she said she had experienced harassment, threats, bullying and vilification over the past year. She said she had told Premier David Crisafulli of her decision late on 22 October.

Before resigning, Camm had taken six weeks of medical leave, which included a surgical procedure. She had returned to parliament two weeks before the announcement. She said her recovery would be ongoing and that she would not be able to keep performing ministerial duties, given the workload and ongoing stresses.

The Guardian reported that her departure came after months of pressure over the Queensland government's handling of child safety. Brisbane Times described the decision as following a spate of highly publicised incidents. Premier Crisafulli said Camm had not been removed over her performance.

A replacement for Camm in the ministry was expected to be announced later on 23 October. The Guardian reported that former senator Amanda Stoker was among those considered for promotion.
