Rosalía Receives Billboard Hall of Fame Award in Miami

Rosalía received the Billboard Hall of Fame Award on Thursday, 22 October, at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami. Juan Luis Guerra presented the honour to her on stage. Billboard reported the win.
The award recognises a career that has crossed genres, languages and borders. It was first dedicated in 1995, when it went to Selena Quintanilla. Rosalía is among the artists it has now been given to in its later years, and the ceremony was the centre of the week's events.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards were broadcast live at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. Central) on Telemundo, and were also available on Peacock. The ceremony closed the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Week, which ran from 19 to 21 October at the Faena Forum in Miami Beach.
Rosalía also took the Top Latin Pop Album of the Year prize for LUX, her album. The category covers albums in the Latin pop style, and the prize is one of the main awards handed out on the night.
The album's chart record is also large. LUX reached No. 1 on five Billboard charts: Top Latin Albums, Top Latin Pop Albums, Classical Albums, Classical Crossover and World Albums. Billboard's album charts rank releases each week by how many copies and streams they earn, so a No. 1 means the album led its category for that week.
The record was supported by the LUX World Tour, a 57-show run. It began in March and played across Europe, North America and South America. It ended in Miami in September, the city where the awards were held a month later.
Earlier in the year, Rosalía was named Woman of the Year at the 2026 Billboard Latin Women in Music gala. That event was also a Billboard award ceremony, and it was broadcast by Telemundo in April.
The ceremony had other honourees too. Cristian Castro was scheduled to receive the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award and to perform at the show, according to an earlier Billboard announcement made on 13 October.
For a general audience, the week's awards work like a scorecard for the Latin music business. Chart positions show what fans bought and streamed. Prizes like the Hall of Fame Award recognise a body of work over many years. Both count for the people who make the records and the shows, including the crews and promoters who travel with a tour.
