Nicolas Raskin says he is 'really happy' at Rangers, but his January future is open

Nicolas Raskin says he is "really happy" at Rangers, but he does not know what will happen with his future when the January transfer window opens. The Belgium midfielder, who is 25, spoke about his situation at the Scottish club BBC Sport.
A midfielder is the player who works in the middle of the pitch, winning the ball and linking defence with attack. Raskin joined Rangers from Standard Liège in January 2023, when he was 21. He has since become a regular in the side. He has started each of Rangers' last seven games, and he has 22 senior caps for Belgium, meaning 22 appearances for the national team.
He also got himself on the scoresheet this season. His first goal of the campaign came in a 2-2 draw at Dundee.
The uncertainty dates back to the summer. Raskin was linked with a move away from Ibrox, and he was left out of some matches while a possible transfer was in the air. He has now said that a decision on extending his contract is up to the club, not him.
Reports earlier this month suggested Turkish club Beşiktaş see him as their main target for January. Nothing has been agreed.
For Rangers supporters, the picture is one of a player who has been at the club for almost four years and says he is happy there, while his own future remains unsettled. Head coach Danny Rohl will be weighing up his squad as the window approaches. For now, Raskin's answer is short and clear: he is happy at Rangers, and the next move is not his to make.
