Craig Conover, a cast member of Bravo's reality series Southern Charm, is starring in a scripted drama made for phone screens. Charmed by a Southern Monster premieres Monday, November 9, on the Peacock mobile app, according to Deadline.

The show is a vertical microdrama. That means a short, episodic story shot to fill a phone held upright, rather than a wide television frame. It is also scripted, so the story is written in advance and played by actors. Southern Charm is unscripted, where the cast's own lives are filmed as they happen.

Conover plays Hunter Caldwell. Nicole Mattox co-stars as Maeve Marchant. The series is a Bravo Original, meaning Bravo's own production, and it is the network's third microdrama. It is also Bravo's first scripted one. The second vertical drama Bravo made for Peacock's app was Salon Confessionals, starring Madison LeCroy.

Behind the camera, Micromaker and Haymaker East produce the show. Aaron Rothman, Josh Halpert and Jesse Light are executive producers, the senior credits that oversee a production from start to finish. Caroline Bomback is co-executive producer. Lyla Trilling wrote the series, and Yoraiia directed it.

Conover's phone debut arrives just before his regular television home. Southern Charm Season 12 premieres Thursday, November 12, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo, three days after the microdrama goes live. Viewers who follow the reality show will be able to watch both in the same week, one on a phone and one on the television.

For a viewer, the change is mostly about where and how a show is watched. A microdrama is built for short viewing sessions on a mobile app, not for a fixed time slot on a television channel. Bravo's move into scripted work on that format is a new step for the network, and it puts a familiar face in a different kind of story.

Episode count and run length remain unannounced for now.
