Ariana Grande Debuts a Bob, and Ricky Alvarez Comments

Ariana Grande debuted a new bob haircut on Instagram on Friday, 23 October, and tagged the hairstylist behind the cut, Brandon Pietsch, according to Billboard.
The first reply came from Ricky Alvarez, her boyfriend, who wrote "i wanna ask you out." Gigi Hadid wrote "rlly cute !!!!!!!!!", and Daniella Monet replied "Natural cutie."
Grande and Alvarez first dated in 2015, after he worked as a backup dancer on her tours. They split in 2016 and got back together about a decade later. In August, the pair went Instagram-official, as Yahoo reported at the time.
Their relationship has been part of her public story for some time. At the final show of her Eternal Sunshine Tour, Grande changed a line of her hit "Thank U, Next" to "Wrote some songs about Ricky / I'm tryna make him my last." The tour was her most recent run of concerts, and the change drew wide attention among fans.
Her music career is also in the news this autumn. Her album Petal came out on the last day of July and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the chart that ranks the best-selling albums in the United States. Its single "Hate That I Made You Love Me" became her 10th No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the main US singles chart.
Away from music, Grande left the West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George in London. Her co-star Jonathan Bailey also pulled out of the production. Neither has said publicly when they will return to the stage.
Next up is film. Grande will take part in promotion for Focker-in-Law, the comedy with a premiere set for 25 November.
For readers following her, the haircut is the latest change in a year that has included a tour, a chart-topping album and a new relationship with a familiar face. The post itself was simple: a new look, a tagged stylist and a few comments from friends and followers.
