The 2026 World Series starts Friday, Oct. 23, with the Tampa Bay Rays playing the Milwaukee Brewers. Both teams are chasing their first World Series title.

Every game in the best-of-seven series airs at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET on Fox, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A best-of-seven series is decided by the first team to win four games, so it can end in four to seven games.

Game 1 is Rays at Brewers, played at American Family Field in Milwaukee. MLB lists Drew Rasmussen starting for Tampa Bay and Jacob Misiorowski for Milwaukee. The "at" in each listing means the second team is the home side.

The rest of the schedule, as MLB lists it:

  • Game 2: Rays at Brewers, Saturday, Oct. 24
  • Game 3: Brewers at Rays, Monday, Oct. 26
  • Game 4: Brewers at Rays, Tuesday, Oct. 27
  • Game 5: Brewers at Rays, Wednesday, Oct. 28, if needed
  • Game 6: Rays at Brewers, Friday, Oct. 30, if needed
  • Game 7: Rays at Brewers, Saturday, Oct. 31, if needed

Every listed game starts at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. Games 3 to 5 are in Tampa Bay, and the rest are in Milwaukee.

Fox is also running a pregame show before each game. Fox Sports says the one-hour show is filmed on site, and Kevin Burkhardt will anchor the studio desk.

If you don't have a regular TV signal, there are other ways to watch. The games can be streamed live through DirecTV, Fubo, Sling and Hulu + Live TV, which are all paid TV services. The games can also be watched on Fox One, Fox's own streaming app. Fox Sports says new viewers can stream Game 1 on Fox One free for three days.

Both clubs are looking for a first championship, which is why the series has drawn so much attention before the first pitch. For the Rays and the Brewers, that is the simplest part of the story. For viewers, the practical question is which screen to use and what time to tune in. The answer for every game is 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
