The stage musical The Notebook will premiere in London's West End in 2027, with previews beginning on 10 March and an official opening on 13 April, Rolling Stone reported.

The production will play at the Judi Dench Theatre. The venue was previously called the Shaftesbury Theatre and has been renamed. The Notebook will be the first production to open there under its new name.

The London staging is directed by Michael Greif and Schele Williams. Casting is being handled by Jill Green Casting, a casting firm that finds and hires the performers.

The show is not new to the stage. It first opened on Broadway in New York. Previews, the performances held before an official opening so the team can make changes, began at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on 10 February 2024, and opening night followed on 14 March 2024, according to Playbill.

Ingrid Michaelson wrote the music and lyrics. Bekah Brunstetter wrote the book, which is the spoken script that carries the story between the songs. The musical is based on Nicholas Sparks' 1996 novel of the same name, and on the 2004 film directed by Nick Cassavetes.

For anyone planning a trip to the West End, the dates give a clear starting point. Previews run from 10 March, and the official opening is set for 13 April. Further details on ticket sales and the wider cast have not yet been announced.
