Stallone Says Daughter's Tulsa King Role Is "Of Course" Nepotism

"Of course it's nepotism," Sylvester Stallone said of his daughter's casting in Tulsa King, according to Variety. Nepotism means getting a job because of who your family is, and Stallone said he sees nothing wrong with it.
The daughter is Scarlet Rose Stallone. She plays Spencer, opposite her father, who stars as mob boss Dwight "The General" Manfredi. Dwight is sent into exile in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after 25 years in prison. Tulsa King streams on Paramount+, the subscription service run by Paramount.
Spencer has been a fixture of the show from the start. Scarlet has played the character in all four seasons. In Season 4, she takes on a bigger part on screen. Her character is a former barista who now works as a horse caretaker and stablehand at Fennario Ranch, a job Manfredi gives her.
Season 4 premiered on October 16. New episodes arrive every Friday at midnight Pacific time.
Stallone's comments came as the family connection drew criticism. He told Variety that parents who have not done "a little nepotism" are not good parents, because children come first. Fox News reported that he answered critics with the words "You idiot."
Scarlet's role has grown in other ways too. On October 6, Paramount+ announced that Tulsa King had been renewed for a fifth season. The same announcement said Scarlet had been promoted to series regular, meaning she is now one of the main cast members. A renewal is a decision to make more episodes of a show, and it is the step that keeps a series going.
For viewers, the practical news is simple. Season 4 is streaming now on Paramount+, and Season 5 is confirmed.
