A four-year-old girl has died after falling from a tower block, a tall residential building, on St Paul's Road in Barking, east London. The Metropolitan Police said an investigation into the incident is ongoing but that it is not believed to be suspicious at this time.

Officers were called to St Paul's Road at 11am on Saturday, according to The Guardian. The fall was reported in the Barking area.

The London Ambulance Service sent ambulance crews, a clinical team manager, an incident response officer, an advanced paramedic practitioner and London's air ambulance to the scene. The girl was treated there before being taken to a major trauma centre, a hospital equipped to care for the most seriously injured patients. She was taken to hospital after the fall and later died of her injuries.
