Greg Berlanti has been selected for the Paley Honors Award, the highest recognition given by the Paley Center for Media, Variety reported on 26 October 2026.

He will receive the award at the 2026 Paley Honors Fall Gala on 3 December 2026. The event takes place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. The Paley Center, which is devoted to television and radio, runs the gala each year to honour people who have shaped the medium. Maureen J. Reidy is the centre's president and chief executive.

Past Paley Honorees include Reba McEntire, Bill Lawrence and Ynon Kreiz. Organisers have not yet named the other people who will be honoured at this year's gala. Those names will be announced later.

Berlanti is a writer, director and producer. He worked as an executive producer on the CW network's "Arrow" and "The Flash", two of the many series he has helped bring to screen. He has also received an Emmy Governors Award, been named to Time magazine's list of the 100 Most Influential People, and won the Producers Guild of America's Norman Lear Achievement Award.

Away from the screen, he founded the Berlanti Family Foundation. The foundation raises money for charities, non-profit groups and cancer research. Berlanti of Berlanti Productions also sits on the Paley Center's Board of Governors, according to a Paley Center announcement from 20 October 2026.

His upcoming series include "How to Survive Without Me" and "Afterlife with Archie". Both are in the pipeline.

For the Paley Center, the December gala is the next step in a yearly cycle of honours. For Berlanti, it adds another name to a list that already includes an Emmy, a place among Time's most influential people and a Norman Lear award.
