Sophia Stel Announces The Greatest Tour of All Time, Opening in Berlin in February

Vancouver-based singer-producer Sophia Stel is going on tour. The run, called The Greatest Tour of All Time, starts in Berlin in February, Pitchfork reported.

The first show is on February 9 at Silent Green in Berlin, Germany. Stel then plays Paris, France, on February 11 at La Giate Lyrique, and London, England, on February 18 at Heaven. The tour crosses Europe before heading back to North America for Canadian dates and West Coast stops.

Two of the North American dates are already listed. Stel plays The Independent in San Francisco, California, on March 16, and Neumos in Seattle, Washington, on March 19.

Before the tour begins, Stel has a run of shows in the United States and Europe. The first of those is on October 29 at Knockdown Center in New York, New York. Her plans also include dates in London and Los Angeles, plus festival appearances.

The tour follows her debut album, THE GREATEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME. She produced the record herself, which means she also shaped its sound in the studio, not only the songs. Her official site, sophiastel.net, lists the tour dates and offers a pre-save for the album. A pre-save lets fans sign up in advance so the album is added to their streaming library automatically when it comes out.

In October, Rolling Stone published a feature on Stel titled "Sophia Stel's Pop Ambitions Are Stronger Than Her Nerves." Rolling Stone Canada had earlier described her sound as dreamy and intimate, with flecks of indie rock and distorted pop.
