Netflix's Minimum Wage Arrives Today With 28 Episodes

Netflix releases its comedy series Minimum Wage today, Monday, October 26. The first season has 28 episodes, released in two batches of 14.
The show follows a group of teenage workers at the Slice Club, a pizzeria in a chain based in Upstate New York. Netflix describes the story as teens balancing school with running a local pizzeria. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the young staff also have to deal with power-tripping managers and a frantic rush of customers.
Each episode runs between 12 and 20 minutes. That makes it a series that can be watched in short sittings, one episode at a time or in a binge.
The series began online. It is adapted from a web series of the same name made by the production company American High. Syracuse.com has reported on the team's move to Netflix, and notes that the production involved a fake Central New York restaurant.
The cast includes Aidan Micho, Grace Reiter, Hyde Healy, Julia Dicesare, Luke Burke, Ryan Micho and Tommy Armstrong. Randall Park is also in the cast, after Netflix added him, as The Hollywood Reporter reported in August. The showrunners, the people who run the writers' room and oversee the scripts, are Jeremy Garelick and Will Phelps.
Netflix itself has labelled the show a comedy. The streamer's official X account made that description on October 19.
For viewers, the decision is simple. The whole first season is on the service from today, so there is no waiting for a weekly slot. The 28 episodes sit side by side in the app, and the second batch of 14 is already part of the season.
