Jack Antonoff has kept songs inspired by his former marriage to actress Margaret Qualley in his live shows. He said so in an interview with The Guardian, published on 25 October 2026.

Antonoff, the producer and songwriter who fronts the band Bleachers, told the paper he had been worried about performing those songs after the split. He has since found the experience beautiful, he said. The couple separated after about three years of marriage, a breakup first reported in July. They had married in New Jersey, and Taylor Swift was among the guests.

He decided not to change the setlist, the running order of songs a band plays on stage, for the Bleachers Forever Tour. One of those songs, "You and Forever", came with a music video that starred Qualley. According to Billboard, he also responded to a fan at a Los Angeles show in September who asked for "Let's Get Married", a 2017 love song. His reply was: "Read the news, brother."

Antonoff said he has "no shame" about continuing to sing love songs that draw on the relationship, according to E! News. He told the Guardian he would rather live through something publicly than escape it privately. That view explains his approach to the stage, in his telling. Writing about a breakup in public is not unusual for songwriters, but few have had to play those songs to the same crowds so soon after.

For the people who work on the tour, the decision is practical. A setlist that stays the same means the same rehearsals, the same lighting cues and the same run of shows as planned. For the fans in the room, it means the songs they came to hear are still there.

Antonoff and Qualley have not, in the coverage cited here, announced any further plans for the tour's music beyond what he described.
