Meghan to Join Junior MasterChef Australia as Special Guest in 2027

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has been confirmed as a co-host of the new season of Junior MasterChef Australia, the version of the cooking competition for young contestants. BBC News reports that she will join fellow host Poh Ling Yeow as a "special guest" on the 2027 series, according to Australia's Channel 10.
The show is returning to Network 10 after a six-year break, according to ABC News. Paramount ANZ, the media company that airs MasterChef through Network 10, said in its announcement that Poh Ling Yeow and Meghan will help guide the next generation of young culinary talent. The company describes Meghan as an entrepreneur, actress, humanitarian and passionate home cook, and notes that she is Emmy-nominated.
Meghan previously appeared as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia last year. Paramount ANZ said that episode drew the show's largest Sunday audience since 2023.
In a statement about the junior series, Meghan said she "can't wait" to take part. "I love cooking with my own kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen is going to be a lot of fun," she said.
People reports that she will film the series in Australia for several weeks.
The BBC understands that Meghan was not paid for her guest-judge appearance on MasterChef Australia.
