Exit Polls Show Apparent Deadlock as Israel Votes

Israelis voted on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, in elections for the 26th Knesset, the country's parliament. Exit polls broadcast by major Israeli television networks, which are surveys of voters taken as they leave polling stations, indicated that the election had ended in an apparent deadlock.
Israel's president, Isaac Herzog, cast his ballot at a polling station in Jerusalem on the same day, according to the Israeli Embassy in Nepal.
Reuters reported that Israelis voted in record numbers. Polls closed in the evening, and initial exit poll results from Israeli broadcasters were expected shortly afterward, according to The New York Times.
Exit polls are not the final count, and the official tally takes longer. According to Reuters, the final tally was expected by 30 October 2026. Official results were scheduled to be formally published on 4 November 2026.
The election date and schedule were set out by Israel's government and the Central Elections Committee, which publishes the official timetable for the vote.
