Art Basel Paris 2026 Ran 23 to 25 October

Art Basel Paris ran from 23 to 25 October 2026, according to the Galerie Karsten Greve. Art Basel is an art fair, a large show where galleries rent stands to sell works to collectors, curators and museum buyers. The organiser also runs fairs in Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong.

Artnet News, the online art news site, reported from the Paris fair in its Wet Paint column. The reporting included visits to the Grand Palais, the glass-roofed exhibition hall in Paris where the fair takes place. It also took in the house of fashion designer Rick Owens. Fairs are busy places for sales, but many of them are private. A gallery agrees a price with a buyer, and the figure often stays out of public view unless one of the two side shares it. That means the total value of a fair is rarely known in full.

For visitors, a fair is a chance to see work from many galleries under one roof in a few days. Dealers also use it to meet clients, and collectors use it to compare work from several countries. The fair's public days are the most visible part of that week.
