Three brothers, Oren, Alon and Tal Alexander, were each sentenced to 30 years in prison in New York on Tuesday for a decade-long scheme of sex trafficking and sexual abuse, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. The hearing took place in Manhattan on Oct. 27, 2026.

Federal prosecutors had asked for life sentences. The brothers were convicted in March on multiple charges after a five-week trial.

The brothers had built careers in and around high-end property. Oren and Tal were representatives at the real estate firm Douglas Elliman before forming their own brokerage, Official. Alon ran the family's private security company. Oren and Alon are twins, both 39, and Tal is 40. They lived primarily in New York. Reuters reported in 2024 that two of the brothers were known for promoting flashy properties in New York and Miami.

At trial, prosecutors told the jury that the brothers had a longstanding playbook for luring women and girls. The Associated Press reported that the brothers used their wealth and their access to luxury real estate to drug and rape dozens of women.

Twelve victims spoke at the sentencing hearing in Manhattan. U.S. Attorney Jamie McDonald said in the sentencing announcement that "Alon, Oren, and Tal Alexander are convicted sex traffickers and serial rapists."

Sex trafficking is a federal charge that covers forcing or luring people into commercial sex, and the sentences announced on Tuesday were the penalties imposed after the March verdicts.
