Food Network's cooking talk show The Kitchen is coming back for one more episode. The special airs Saturday, October 31, at 11 a.m. ET, according to Deadline.

The show was cancelled in October 2025, after more than 10 years on air. Food Network describes it as five food experts sharing lively conversation and recipes, covering everything from weeknight supper ideas to food trends. Its last regular episode aired in December 2025, and the network had announced that episode's date in advance.

The return was first hinted at earlier this year. In March, co-host Jeff Mauro said on Katie Lee Biegel's podcast All On the Table that the team was filming a special episode. Mauro later posted that the crew had shot the episode in January, and he described it as one more episode of the show.

Production company Garden Slate Productions has now shared a behind-the-scenes teaser of the hosts on set. The clip features Katie Lee Biegel, Geoffrey Zakarian, Alex Guarnaschelli and Jeff Mauro. Sunny Anderson, who was part of the core cast when the show went off air, does not appear in the teaser.

The special is a single episode, and the network has not said whether it will lead to further episodes.

For viewers, the change is simple. A show that ended in late 2025 will air again on a Saturday morning, on the same channel and in the same time slot as before. Anyone who misses it on the day can look for it on the Food Network schedule.

Cancellation and revival are common enough on cable and streaming, but a single special after a full season ending is less usual. Here, the cast and crew came back to film for a single episode, and that is what Food Network has put on the schedule.
