Woman Found in Mexico Is Not Missing Arizona Woman Shayna Feinman, Sheriff's Office Says

Arizona authorities said on Oct. 27, 2026, that a woman found in Mexico is not Shayna Feinman, who has been missing since 2024. The statement ended a report that Feinman had been found alive.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said U.S. authorities confirmed, using physical evidence, that the person located in Tijuana is not Feinman. Earlier, Tijuana's Secretariat for Security and Citizen Protection, the city's public security agency, claimed Feinman had been located alive in the Encino neighborhood. A Tijuana security force said she was found on Oct. 23 after receiving reports about a woman. Arizona Central
Feinman, 38, was last seen on March 9, 2024, when she was traveling to meet a friend in rural Yavapai County, Arizona. A neighbor reported her missing. Her car was later found abandoned near the place where she had been staying with her boyfriend, Cavett Richards. Her wallet and identification were inside the car, and her cellphone was recovered on nearby land.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office later charged Richards and William DalCerro with second-degree murder, conspiracy and concealing a corpse in connection with her disappearance. Those charges were subsequently dismissed. The Guardian
A $20,000 reward has been offered for information about the case, and investigators have continued their work. Feinman had been missing and presumed dead for more than two years as of October 2026, and as of Oct. 27 she remains missing.
