Witchbrook, a magic life-sim, will launch on 28 January 2027. Shacknews reported the date on 28 October 2026, saying the game will arrive on the same day on PS5, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

A life-sim is a game where you run a character's everyday life, with chores, friends, hobbies and seasons rather than one fixed goal. In Witchbrook, that character is a witch. The game is co-developed with Robotality, a studio based in Germany, according to InvenGlobal, which also reported news of a new PS5 version.

The Steam store page describes Witchbrook as a witch life-sim for up to 4 players. Steam lists single-player and online co-op play, so friends can join each other's world over the internet. It also lists achievements, which are in-game goals that unlock badges, and cloud saves, which store progress online so it can follow a player between devices. Family Sharing, which lets a library be shared with other accounts in the same household, is also listed.

The Steam release date announcement brings more to see before launch. It includes a new trailer, news about the PS5 version, reveals of new characters and a preview of the game's soundtrack, known as the OST, or original soundtrack.

The date is the headline, but the announcement also gives fans a clearer picture of how the game will look and sound. A new trailer gives people a first look at the latest scenes, and the character reveals show who else will share the town. The soundtrack preview gives players a taste of the music before they hit the start screen.

Players who want to follow the game can find the release date, platform list and multiplayer details on the Steam store page. Further updates are expected in the months before launch.
