Ralph Lauren Creates Chief Brand Communications Role for Ryan Lally

Ralph Lauren Corp has promoted Ryan Lally to a newly created job, chief brand communications officer. The American fashion and lifestyle company announced the change on 28 October 2026, according to WWD.
Until now, Lally was senior vice president of global public relations and brand communications. Public relations is the work of shaping how a company is seen in the press and by the public, and it covers everything from news releases to media relations. He has been with the company for more than 20 years.
In the new role, Lally will oversee communications for the company's fashion, brand, home and lifestyle businesses. His remit also covers talent and entertainment partnerships, which means working with famous people and performers who appear alongside the brand, as well as experiences and events. The job is new, so the company is not filling a post that was left vacant.
Lally will continue to report to David Lauren, the company's chief branding and innovation officer. That reporting line stays the same, so the change adds responsibility without moving him to a different part of the company's leadership structure.
Lally's path at the company began in 2018, when he was named vice president of global public relations and brand communications. He later rose to the senior vice president post he held before this promotion.
Communications chiefs at large fashion houses often sit close to the creative and business teams, deciding how new collections, store openings and campaigns are presented to the public. Ralph Lauren's announcement describes the new job in those broad terms. It does not set out a timetable for further changes to the communications team.
The company has not, in the material published so far, said who will take over Lally's previous senior vice president responsibilities.
