South Park used Wednesday's episode to poke fun at Grand Theft Auto VI, with a joke built around a bag of dog poop.

The episode, called "Guinea Pig on a Stick," has the gang visit a local cattle ranch. Along the way, viewers are shown gameplay in which a character named Jason fights a non-player character, meaning a computer-controlled figure, on Vice Beach. His weapon of choice is the bag of dog poop. Deadline reported the scene and the episode's wider game references.

The show also points at the real game's release. The episode calls it the "big change" arriving in November. Deadline reports that the line works as a satirical reminder of the Nov. 3 midterm elections, the national votes held in the middle of a US president's term.

The game itself is Grand Theft Auto VI, made by Rockstar Games. It is set to release on Thursday, November 19, 2026. It will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to Rockstar Games. It is the first main game in the series since 2013.

The date has moved before. Rockstar first announced May 26, 2026, as the launch day, and later moved it to November 19. The November 2025 announcement gave the new date.

For South Park fans, the joke lands during a season the show is currently branding as South America. The episode and the game are now only a few weeks apart. Both are now set for the same stretch of autumn, with the midterms in between.
