King Charles Receives a Tribute T-Shirt of His Own at Bahamas Boxing Gym

King Charles III was handed a T-shirt of his own at a Bahamas boxing gym, after two of its members had turned up wearing a tribute to him. The exchange took place during the King's Caribbean tour, which Hello Magazine reported on 29 October 2026.
The shirts showed the King's head placed on the body of a boxer, with a golden crown on top. Coach Jermaine Gibson and his pupil Sanai Miller, who is 12, wore them at the Bahamas Boxing Academy during the King's visit. The magazine reports that the King said "Ha!" when he noticed them.
Gibson then presented the King with a shirt of his own. "We made one for you, I had it made last night," he said. The King replied, "How generous."
Afterwards, Gibson summed up the moment in a single line. "We gave him one of his own, he said it was really good," he said, according to the same report.
A royal tour is a trip made on behalf of the monarch, usually with official visits and public engagements. The King is on a nine-day Caribbean tour that includes the Bahamas, Guyana, and Antigua and Barbuda. Reuters reported on 27 October 2026 that he would visit the Bahamas and Guyana before travelling to Antigua and Barbuda, and that Queen Camilla would join him there.
The gym visit was a short and light moment in a longer programme of official business. It also gave the young boxers something to show off, and the King took their gift in good part.
