Tom Rosenthal and Adrian Scarborough will star in the 2027 UK tour of Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, WhatsOnStage reported on 29 October 2026. Rosenthal will play Bertie Wooster, and Scarborough will play Jeeves, the butler who usually sorts out Bertie's problems.

The production is a comedy based on the stories of P.G. Wodehouse, the English writer whose characters have been staged for decades. The script is by Robert Goodale and David Goodale, and Phillip Breen directs the tour. ATG Productions is the producer.

The show first appeared in 2013. The following year it transferred to the West End, meaning it moved from its first theatre into a commercial house in central London. That run starred Matthew Macfadyen and Stephen Mangan. The play went on to win an Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, the top prize for comedy at the awards given by the Society of London Theatre. It was also nominated for Best New Comedy at the WhatsOnStage Awards.

The tour opens at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on 29 January 2027 and runs until 8 May, with 13 stops in England and Scotland:

  • Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, 29 January to 6 February
  • Manchester Opera House, 9 to 13 February
  • Theatre Royal Brighton, 16 to 20 February
  • Princess Theatre, Torquay, 23 to 27 February
  • Richmond Theatre, 2 to 6 March
  • Arts Theatre, Cambridge, 9 to 13 March
  • Theatre Royal Glasgow, 16 to 20 March
  • Woking Theatre, 23 to 27 March
  • Milton Keynes Theatre, 30 March to 3 April
  • Liverpool Playhouse, 13 to 17 April
  • Sheffield Lyceum Theatre, 20 to 24 April
  • The Alexandra, Birmingham, 27 April to 1 May
  • Grand Opera House, York, 4 to 8 May

Touring keeps a show in front of audiences outside London, and most of these stops are in theatres that host touring productions throughout the year. Each week of a run covers a different town, so a single production can reach several regions in one season.

Rosenthal and Scarborough are the first names announced for the tour. Further casting and ticket details are expected to follow from the producers and the theatres.
