Usher and Chris Brown's co-headlining run, The R&B Tour, was the top-grossing and best-selling tour of September 2026, according to Billboard's monthly Boxscore report, published on 29 October.

Across ten shows that month, the tour grossed $77.4 million and sold 423,000 tickets, according to figures reported to Billboard. The result puts the two singers at No. 1 on the monthly Top Tours chart, and makes them the first co-headlining pair to share that top spot. The September ranking was the 75th edition of the monthly charts, which began in 2019.

Boxscore is Billboard's tally of concert business. It is built from figures reported for each show, and "gross" means the total ticket revenue before anyone takes their costs out. A gross does not show profit, but it does show how much money changed hands at the box office.

For Usher, September was his first month at No. 1. He had previously peaked at No. 3 as a solo act in September and October 2024. Chris Brown returned to the top exactly one year after he last held it, following three straight months at No. 1 from July to September 2025.

The tour was not at the top for the whole summer. It ranked No. 3 in July and August, behind BTS and The Weeknd. In July it grossed $98.4 million from 538,000 tickets, and in August it took $91.8 million from 465,000. The Weeknd led the August chart with $124.4 million.

The tour began on 26 June in Denver. Through its first 36 shows, ending with the 3 October date in El Paso, it had grossed $284.7 million and sold more than 1.5 million tickets, Billboard reported. September's leg opened on 1 September at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara and closed on 29 September at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

Behind every one of those totals are stadium seats filled night after night, along with the crews who build the stage in one city and take it down in the next. A tour's gross is also a measure of how many people chose to spend an evening with the show, one ticket at a time.

For fans, the chart confirms what the crowds already showed. Ticket buyers across the country kept the tour's September numbers at the top of the monthly tally, and the chart now records the pair's place in the list for the month.
