Harry Styles sang "Ever Since New York" at Madison Square Garden in the final week of his residency there, the first time he has performed the song in four years. Rolling Stone reported the performance on 29 October 2026.

The song is from his self-titled solo debut album, released in 2017. He last played it during his first Madison Square Garden residency, which was part of the Love on Tour trek. This time, it appeared toward the end of the 28th night of the current run, and it was the first time the song had been performed at this residency.

A residency is a run of shows at one venue, with the artist staying put rather than travelling city to city. This one has 30 dates, all sold out, and it ends on Halloween, 31 October. Fans first had to sign up for artist presale registration, which gives them early access to tickets before the general public. Rolling Stone reported in January 2026 that the 30 shows had generated 11.5 million of those sign-ups.

The tour is called the Together, Together Tour. Billboard listed the setlist for the New York run's first show, which included "Dance No More," "Carolina," "Music for a Sushi Restaurant," "Cinema," "Adore You," "Watermelon Sugar," "Taste Back," and "Sweet Creature."

Thirty nights in one arena also means thirty nights of work for everyone who keeps a show running. Stage crews, sound engineers, ushers and the people who move equipment between shows all feel the schedule, and a residency gives them a steady run of work in one place. For the fans in the building, the news is simpler: a song many of them had not heard live in four years was back on the setlist, with a few days of shows left to go.
