LL Cool J will headline a new Las Vegas residency, with tickets going on pre-sale on Saturday, Oct. 31, according to Rolling Stone. The show, called Rock the Bells: The Residency, is built around hip-hop's legacy. A residency is a run of shows by one act at one venue, booked on set dates rather than a touring schedule.

The run covers 11 nights at Dolby Live at Park MGM, the venue inside the Park MGM resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The first set of dates is May 15, 16, 19, 21 and 22. A second set follows on July 9, 10, 11, 14, 16 and 17. The residency is scheduled to debut in 2027. The Park MGM website already lists a May 15 show at 8:00 p.m.

Pre-sale begins at 10 a.m. Pacific time on Oct. 31. General sale opens at the same time on Nov. 2. Ticket prices were not part of the announcement, so fans will need to check the official sales channels for costs.

Each night will feature special guests, and the guest appearances and song choices will change from one show to the next. That means no two nights are set to be identical, a format that gives returning audiences a reason to come back for more than one date.

This is LL Cool J's first residency on the Las Vegas Strip, as the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. Strip residencies have long been a major part of the city's live music business, with headline acts often playing multi-night runs in theatres built for that purpose.

The name ties the show to the wider Rock the Bells brand. LL Cool J also curates Rock The Bells Radio, which airs on SiriusXM Channel 43. The station launched in 2018 and includes shows hosted by artists and other figures from hip-hop, among them a programme hosted by Roxanne Shante, one of the genre's early pioneers.

For anyone planning to go, the first thing to do is mark the pre-sale date on the calendar. The residency is set to run in 2027, with the first dates in May and a second block in July, so there is time to plan travel and accommodation. Anyone who wants a seat will need to act fast once tickets go on sale, as big residency dates tend to move quickly.
