Xbox Reportedly Set to Name The Elder Scrolls VI as Soon as November
Microsoft is reportedly set to officially announce the full name of its next The Elder Scrolls game as soon as November 2026. Video Games Chronicle reported the claim, citing a new report from The Verge. The game is believed to be called The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel. Neither company has confirmed the name.
The report suggests the title could be revealed around November 11. That date marks 15 years since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim launched in 2011, and the series has a long history of anniversaries.
The believed setting is Hammerfell, a region of the fictional world of Tamriel. According to the report, sources say where the game takes place will not be revealed alongside the title. IGN has described Sentinel as a major coastal capital city of the Redguards, the people associated with Hammerfell.
Fans have been guessing at the name for months. In August, a Redditor called starfieldnovember suggested "Sentinel" as the subtitle. Some fans also believed a clue was hidden in Starfield, another Bethesda game, according to TechRadar. Xbox boss Asha Sharma had also issued a tease about the subtitle that was full of asterisks, which left room for several theories.
For players, the next step is a formal name from Microsoft. Those details have not been announced.
The Elder Scrolls VI has no confirmed release date. Any reveal will be the first official name the game has received.
