Kate O'Flynn, Jamie Demetriou and Dexter Sol Ansell Join Universal's Holiday Comedy 'Naughty'

Three more actors have joined the cast of Naughty, a holiday comedy from Universal, according to Deadline, which reported the casting on October 29, 2026. Kate O'Flynn, Jamie Demetriou and Dexter Sol Ansell are the new names. Their character details are being kept under wraps.
The film is a Christmas story with a legal twist. Jennifer Aniston plays Mallory, a woman who hopes to win custody of her son. Her plan is to find Santa Claus and persuade him to testify at her divorce hearing. Peter Dinklage plays Santa himself.
Olivia Wilde directs from a script by Jimmy Warden. LuckyChap is producing alongside Wilde and Warden. On the Universal side, Sara Scott and Jacqueline Garell are overseeing the project.
The wider cast includes Chase Sui Wonders, Ike Barinholtz, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Kate Berlant and John Early. Deadline reported in October 2026 that Berlant and Early are comedians, which fits a film built on sharp, quick-fire humour. The studio has not said which roles any of them play.
The release date is a long way off. Naughty is set for theatrical release, meaning a run in cinemas, on November 5, 2027. That is more than a year after this round of casting news. The date also falls in the autumn, the stretch when studios often start building their pitch for the Christmas and New Year movie season.
Casting announcements like this one usually arrive well before a film opens. They tell audiences that a project is moving, and they help the studio line up talent for the production schedule. For now, the cast list is the main news, and the Santa storyline is the hook that stands out.
Universal, which is part of NBCUniversal, has a long record with holiday films, and this one joins a crowded season. Whether the new faces help the movie reach cinemas on that November date will become clear only as the production moves forward.
