Former Farage Security Guard Sentenced to Eight and a Half Years for Rape

A security guard who protected Nigel Farage during the local election campaign while facing a rape charge was sentenced in July to eight and a half years in prison.
The man, Ryan Dinnage, is 32 and from Croydon. A jury at his trial unanimously found him guilty in June of one count of rape, and ITV News reported that he was acquitted of one count of sexual assault. The offence concerned a woman who was asleep in a caravan at the Royal Windsor horse show. It took place in the early hours of 16 May 2022, when Dinnage entered the caravan and raped her.
He was reported to police later that day and arrested the following day. He was not charged until 2025, about three years after the offence.
Dinnage served on Farage's security team. The Guardian reported that he protected Farage in April and May, during the local elections, while the rape charge was pending against him. He was seen beside Farage on walkabouts on at least four occasions: in Llandudno in Conwy County, Waterlooville in Hampshire, Worthing in West Sussex and Downham Market in Norfolk.
Reform UK, the party Farage leads, acknowledged that Farage had been given protection by Dinnage. The party said his services had been supplied by a third-party contractor, which had assured Reform that he had been vetted.
