Gracie Abrams Brings Romeo + Juliet to Saturday Night Live's Halloween Episode

Gracie Abrams spent Halloween night on Saturday Night Live dressed as characters from Baz Luhrmann's 1996 film Romeo + Juliet. She was the show's musical guest on October 31, 2026, which means she performed songs during the episode rather than hosting it.
This was her second time on the show. She first appeared as musical guest in 2024. The same episode marked the hosting debut of Inde Navarrette, who shared the broadcast with her.
Abrams opened with "Hit the Wall," the lead track from her third studio album, Daughter from Hell. For that performance she wore Claire Danes' angel costume from the film. Deadline reported that she began the song from behind an aquarium.
Her second song was "Here You Come, There You Go," which comes from the deluxe edition of the album. A deluxe edition is a re-release with extra tracks added to the original set. For this number she wore a tropical button-down shirt with metal sleeves. The outfit referred to the suit of armour Leonardo DiCaprio wore as Romeo in the film.
The costume choices tied the whole set to one film, and that was the point of the night. Each song had its own look, but the thread running through them was the 1996 movie, which Luhrmann set in a modern-day city and filled with bold colour and music.
Saturday Night Live's official YouTube channel has posted a video of "Hit the Wall," and a separate video of "Here You Come, There You Go" is also on the channel. Anyone who missed the broadcast can watch both performances there.
