Ireland were 118 for 7 after 28.5 overs in the fifth one-day international against Namibia on Sunday 1 November, with the hosts yet to bat. The match is being played at the FNB Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek, according to BBC Sport.

A one-day international, or ODI, gives each side one innings of up to 50 overs. An over is six balls bowled by one bowler. Ireland won the toss and chose to bat first, so Namibia's turn with the bat comes after Ireland's innings ends.

Seven wickets down is a difficult place to be. Each dismissal takes a batter out, and a side is all out after ten. Ireland have lost seven of their ten batters, but the innings still has 21.5 overs left to run.

The brightest Irish figure on the scorecard belongs to Jordan Neill, who was 29 not out from 23 balls. Namibia's JJ Smit has taken 3 wickets for 20 runs from his 8 overs so far. Gerhard Erasmus is captaining Namibia, and Zane Green is listed as their wicketkeeper.

Ireland are without their captain. The International Cricket Council (ICC) reported on 28 October that Paul Stirling had broken a ring finger and been ruled out of the rest of the series. Stirling had been named to lead the tour on 9 October. Cricket Ireland has also confirmed that Tim Tector was called up as a replacement for an injured player.

The tour was scheduled to include five ODIs in Namibia. The first was set for 22 October in Windhoek and the second for 24 October, also in Windhoek, according to the ICC's tour schedule. This fifth match is the last of the series, so it will close out the tour whatever happens in the coming hours.

For casual fans, the key number is the one still moving. Namibia will know exactly how many runs they need once Ireland's innings is complete, and the scorecard will show how their reply unfolds over the remaining overs.
