Ezra Sosa Wants a Male Partner on Dancing with the Stars

Ezra Sosa wants to dance with a man on Dancing with the Stars, and he says he has already asked the casting director to make it happen.
Sosa is a professional dancer in his third season on the show, which is now in its 35th season. This season he is partnered with the actress Julia Stiles. Ahead of Week 8, "Disney Night," the pair had a cumulative score of 62. That is the running total of the judges' marks so far.
In an interview with OUT, published on 28 October, Sosa said a same-sex pairing has been his dream "ever since I joined the show." He said he has "put in my word to the casting director" about getting a male partner. Deadline later reported his comments, including his promise that he is "working my magic!"
He added: "I definitely want that 100% to happen."
Same-sex pairings have appeared on the show before. JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson became the first same-sex couple in 2021, 16 years after the programme premiered in 2005. Shangela and Gleb Savchenko followed in 2022.
Sosa said he has long been passionate about same-sex dancing, especially as a member of the queer community. That passion sits behind his hope for a future partnership.
His comments were about an upcoming season, not the current one. No date for a same-sex pairing has been set.
