Taylor Swift's song "I Knew It, I Knew You" from Toy Story 5 has been nominated in the animated film category at this year's Hollywood Music in Media Awards, according to Variety, which reported the nominees on 2 November.

The awards honour the music behind films and other screen projects. Swift performed the song at the L.A. premiere of Toy Story 5, which was earlier reported by Gold Derby.

Several other titles also did well in the nominations. "Behemoth," "The Odyssey," "Michael," "Brother Verses Brother" and "Linda Perry: Let It Die Here" each received three nominations. Two composers led the count with four each: Daniel Pemberton and Mina Samy.

One of the nominees comes from a smaller production. "La Nieve," from the film La Bola Negra, is nominated in the independent film song category. It was written by Álvaro Lafuente, Raül Refree and Lucas Duran, and performed by Guitarricadelafuente. The tune is sung in Spanish and appears in a key scene of the film.

The song has another route to recognition. In August, The Hollywood Reporter reported that "La Nieve" was being submitted for Best Original Song consideration at the Academy Awards, the Oscars' prize for the best song written for a film.

For the people who wrote and performed these songs, a nomination is a public moment in a year of work. For the film crews, it is one more line on the list of credits that reached a wider audience. Winners will be announced on 18 November at the Avalon Hollywood, where the ceremony's schedule is set.
