The nominees for the 2026 Hollywood Music in Media Awards are out, and a song from The Odyssey is in the running. "When I'm Home" is nominated in the Song – Feature Film category, which covers original songs written for a cinema release. Deadline reported the list on 2 November.

The awards recognise original music, meaning songs and scores written for screen work. The organisation describes itself as the first award body to honour original music in all visual media from around the world. Its 17th annual ceremony takes place on 18 November at the Avalon in Hollywood.

Several of the films in contention have also been big earners at the box office. Spider-Man: Brand New Day, The Odyssey and Michael are among the films vying for the prizes, and each has crossed one billion dollars in worldwide ticket sales, according to the same Deadline report. The awards are a separate contest from ticket sales, but the films share a common thread: large audiences heard their music.

Dune: Part Three and Project Hail Mary are also among the awards-season hopefuls on the list. Awards season is the stretch of the year when studios and film-makers push their films for prizes, usually from late in the year into the early months of the next.

For anyone who has left a cinema humming a theme, the list is a handy guide to the people behind the sound. Song and score are separate categories, so a film can appear more than once, or only in one. The ceremony on 18 November will show which nominees take home a trophy.
