Britney Spears Says She 'Will Find a New Family' in Instagram Post

Britney Spears said on Instagram on Monday, 2 November, that she "will find a new family," and she made serious allegations against relatives in the same post.
The post, published on her official @britneyspears account, said her family had done secret things behind her back. She wrote that all she ever did was work for her father.
The post also said her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and her former husband, Kevin Federline, made her "feel like a slave" during family visits to their homes. Federline is the father of her children.
Spears gave specific examples. She alleged that Jamie Lynn never let her hold her daughter, Ivey, during two-week visits to Louisiana during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ivey Watson is now 8 years old.
Spears also alleged that Federline would not let her use the bathroom when she went to his house to pick up her children.
The post included an image of a young Dakota Fanning from the 2003 film Uptown Girl, flipping the middle finger. Spears did not add a caption explaining the choice of image in the text of the post.
They are allegations, not findings, and they have not been tested in any court. Spears's post is her first public statement of this kind in the Instagram account's latest update.
Anyone following Spears's family news will recognise the names involved. Jamie Lynn Spears is Britney's younger sister, and Ivey is her niece.
